Table of Contents

Overview

When you log in, the Home page welcomes you with three main sections:

  1. Account Summary: An interactive, birds eye view of your core data.

  2. Balances and Transactions Widgets: Provide different perspectives of your core data directly from the Home page. The cadence of the widgets automatically updates to comfortably summarize larger date ranges.

  3. Recently Viewed: Displays the report objects you’ve recently accessed.

Filtering

To personalize your Home page and display only the accounts that matter most to you, click the Filter Accounts button and select the accounts you want to include. This selection is saved at a user level and will automatically update all content on your Home page to reflect your selections.

NOTE: This setting is unique to your Citizens Treasury Intelligence view and won't affect your colleagues' Home pages.

Setting a Date Range

The date selector at the top of the page will always display the last 30 days by default. Editing the date range will automatically update all content on your Home page, but keep in mind that the date range will reset to the last 30 days when you leave the page.

Account Summary

The Account Summary widget offers a high-level, interactive view of your core data and is the centerpiece of the Home page experience.

Review Historical Periods

By default, this widget displays the last 30 days of data and pins to the most recently completed period, which is typically yesterday. This ensures you’re seeing the most complete data, as current-day reporting updates throughout the day. In the widget, current-day values are shaded grey to reflect this.

The chart is interactive, allowing you to explore historical periods or the current period. Clicking on a period will pin it and dynamically update the metrics at the top of the module for Total Cash, Net Cash Flow, Inflows, and Outflows.

Each of these metrics is clickable, linking you to more detailed views of your data, either in Analysis for Total Cash or the Transactions dialog for cash flow metrics. Trend metrics will always display the period-over-period change.

Account Summary Preferences

  • Choose a new Group By option from the dropdown menu. Your selection will be saved for future visits.

  • Note: the Cadence to view your data will not be saved and resets to “daily” each time you view the Home Page.

Digging into the Data

You can easily explore specific groups by clicking on any group listed below the chart. This will update the chart to show only that group’s metrics and the accounts that belong to it, giving you a focused view of that part of your data.

Understanding the Insights cards on your Home screen

The Insights panel on your Home screen gives you a quick read on your cash activity without building a report. Insights provide a quick way to understand where money is going, how your balances are trending, and what a typical transaction looks like. They update automatically as new activity arrives from your accounts.

Where to Find Them

Open the Home screen. The Insights panel sits on the right-hand side. Each card shows the period it covers directly under its title.

The Insights

Outflows by Payment Type (last 30 days)

A chart of your total outflows split by payment type, with the percentage share of each. The five largest types are named; anything smaller is grouped under Other. Use it for the fastest view of which payment methods carry most of the money leaving your accounts.

Outflows by Volume (last 30 days)

The number of outgoing transactions, ranked by payment type with a count and share for each. This shows where the activity is. A payment type can be small in dollars yet dominate the count, as ACH and checks often do.

Outflows by Dollar Amount (last 30 days)

The total value of outflows, ranked by payment type with a dollar total and share for each. This shows where the money is. Read it beside Outflows by Volume to spot high-value, low-count types such as wires.

Net Balance Change by Month (up to 6 months)

A bar chart of the net increase or decrease in your overall balance for each month. Green bars are months your balance grew; red bars are months it fell. The large figure at the top is the current month to date, and the line beneath the chart totals the change across the whole period. If your accounts have less than six months of history, the card shows the months available.

Average Transaction Size (last 30 days)

The average value of all your transactions in the period, with the number of transactions behind it, plus separate averages for inflows and outflows. Once a full prior 30 days of history exists, a badge shows how the average compares to the previous period.

Data Integrity (Prior-Day)

How many of your connected accounts reconciled against the balance your bank reported, shown as a count such as 20 of 20.

Transaction Health (Prior-Day)

The number of transactions received yesterday, with how many of them are missing a tag or a G/L tag.

Transaction Categories (Prior Day)

Yesterday's activity by category, as a chart with a dollar total for each category.

Currency Exposure (last 7 days)

The total change in your balances over the past week, with yesterday's balance shown beside the balance from seven days earlier.

Cash Activity (last 30 days)

Idle cash compared with active cash, in dollars and as a share of the total.

How the numbers are defined

  • Payment types are the categories Citizens reports on your transactions, such as Wire, ACH, ZBA, and Check. Only types with activity in the period appear on a card.

  • Outflows are debits leaving your accounts; inflows are credits coming in. The three outflow cards count debits only. Average Transaction Size uses both.

  • Periods are rolling. The 30-day cards cover the 30 days ending today, and the balance trend covers the current month to date plus the full months before it. There is nothing to set or reset.

  • All figures are in USD by default
